Did you know that the third Saturday of October is ‘Sweetest Day’?  To me it is a made up Holiday but still it is a good excuse to send Becky a card. So that’s what I did. Sent a humorous card to Becky today.

My Sister is the consummate card and letter sender. I figured I would beat her to the punch this month with a nice card celebrating our beautiful Wisconsin Fall Season.

Robin is our insurance agent and she bends over backwards for Her clients. I send her cards on a regular basis as she seems to enjoy getting them.  I think it is a good idea to keep yourself on top of mind with people who have some sort of critical place in your financial well being. She loves Winter so today I reminded Her that it was right around the corner. Got Shovels?

My really good friend Mark and his wife Sue are pretty important to me. We have kept in touch by phone for about 20 years but Sue is seldom in on our conversations, so I sent them a card for both of them to enjoy. I built the card from scratch using a photo I just took today of the leaves changing color on the trees, loaded into the card creator , wrote my message and hit the SEND button. I made some quick photo stills of the best frames and used one for the cover. Wrote a note saying thank you from me and my dog! Hope she gets a kick outta that!

Tom is in the card business with me, sent him a note of encouragement and enclosed our new Opportunity and Fast Start DVD just in case he didn’t have it yet. Cards are a great way to stay in communication with people you are building your business future with.

Today I spoke to my good friend Gordon on the phone, had a sales lead for him but it was a nice visit too. He went to Italy earlier this year and sent me some great photos by email. One photo is a classic everyone knows which is of Portofino Harbour. He took this great picture and I used my online greeting card creator to put a old style ornate picture frame around the image and then I turned it into a postcard. I sent that to him thinking he might like to keep it at his desk to remember that trip and maybe set some other travel goals. I sent the same postcard to myself so I will post it here when it arrives.

I also sent another sympathy card today. I will keep those details private and will from time to time leave out specifics about certain cards I send.

Lastly, I sent out a card and a book to Jeff  at a winery I admire. Wanted to just compliment them on a few things and

This morning so far I have sent 3 cards as follows:

I sent out a card to my Brother in Nevada just to say Hi. It’s been awhile since we spoke by phone and it is easier to let him know we are thinking about him in a nice card. He loves horses so I picked out a nice card with a quarterhorse on the front.

I sent a card to my friend John in Florida with a funny picture of a guy picking his nose. Wrote a quick note of friendship and told him the photo was for him to remember me! Ha Ha! Hope he gets a chuckle out of it!

A friend passed away recently and I sent a card to his wife but I hadn’t sent a card to my friend Tom and his wife who were very close to him. Friends can suffer too when they lose a friend unexpectedly, but do we ever think to send sympathy cards to the friends ? I thought it was appropriate to let him know they were in our thoughts.

I feel good after sending these cards this morning, I feel a little lighter. it took me longer to write this post than it took to pick out three nice cards, write a message and press send. 3 down and 997 to go.
